Life goes on, as best it can.
There’s a strange dichotomy at the heart of the loss of a friend or loved one. Bottom line is that each loss is just an integral part of the human condition, inevitable and common to us all. Death and birth are the bookends that help define our existance. Death is both mundane, ’cause none of us are here forever………and acutely, uniquely, painful and personal, because the spark that made a given human unique and special to us has gone out and the people left behind have to learn to live without it. It’s shit, however common it is.
