I’m guilty of Pigeonholing People

Just finished listening to Born Standing Up: A Comic’s Life by Steve Martin (with incidental music written and performed by him). I’m impressed by how passionate he was about pushing the limits of comedy and really analyzing how he was going to do it. It’s easy to just assume he was always the somewhat anodyne film star he sometimes seems to be now. Read, or listen, to it…now!

What’s more he can write and play a mean banjo tune

The man has my respect.

p.s. respect is also due to Alberto Contador. His win in the Giro was a masterpiece of controlled riding. Chess on wheels indeed.
