Heroes Are Human Too

by wjohngalloway

Greg Lemond was the person that most made me want to race a bicycle as opposed to just ride one. (Andy H gets the credit for the latter). Revelations during the Floyd Landis court case showed that, just like a lot of normal humans, he rode his bike to escape his demons. Now it seems that he’s losing the income from the gorgeous subset of bikes made by Trek which bear his name and will be spending more time in the courts. I’ve always loved Lemond bikes and the thrill of watching his duels with Hinault and Fignon still raise a few goosebumps even in retrospect.

Point of this post? I don’t know……except that we shouldn’t judge each other too harshly. Even heroes have feet of clay. Details on Urban Velo
