Watching a documentary on BBC4 on the life of Ella Fitzgerald. First heard her on a compilation my dad bought me when I was 13. She’s a constant presence on my iPhone and, along with holds being in just the right place on rock climbs, is one of the best arguments for a divine plan I’ve come across. Please have a listen.
