I was put in mind of Hinault’s classic 1985 tour win, and the great La Vie Claire team strip……..
…when I saw that Look are releasing a limited Mondrian edition frameset for a bargain £2750ish….

Now, were I
1: thin
2: fit
3: FAAAAAST
4: fabulously rich (circa 6k sterling for a decent complete bike)
I’d have one in a heartbeat.
That Piet Mondrian bloke, he’d have made a good Dulux employee! ;o)

Not obsessed by cycling at all are we John… (?)
They don’t have roads up PROPER mountains you know. Well okay they do, but mainly if you live on the continent, and not always even then!
Must get some new tyres for the Sirrus. Last ones were those Contis. Now they are, uh, somewhat perished. Still the way to go though? Conti GP 4 season satisfy my non competition needs? Actually getting out some more on that lurvely bike of mine (thanks to you) might help get me too to get marginally less HILL unfit. And to be fair I think I’ve been riding those tyres on borrowed time for (ahem) quite a while now…
Must dig out my old Munro maps too. Not long now!
When is the tour thenh? When I’m over I suppose?
Andy. (The)
I *think* that was the first tour I ever watched (or was it ‘86. mmmmmm, memory might be playing tricks on me).
The look on Hinault’s face in that photo really says a lot about the relationship betwixt him and Le Monde!
Nice bike, though. It would certainly elicit a sagely nod from those in the know, but might be a bit ‘boaksome’ for the uninitiated
Scott.
